''The Bold and the Beautiful'' is a long-running American soap opera which has aired on CBS Daytime since March 23, 1987. Meeting with Stephanie's disapproval, Morgan aborted the child at the time. On arriving in LA in 2000, she befriended Ridge's then-wife Taylor Hayes Forrester. Before long she confessed to Ridge about the 80's abortion, and soon after this it was revealed she wanted Ridge's child. ''The Bold and the Beautiful'' (often referred to as ''B&B'') is an American television soap opera created by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell for CBS. It premiered on March 23, 1987, as a sister show to the Bells' other soap opera ''The Young and the Restless''; several characters from each of the two shows have crossed over to the other since the early 1990s. Set in Los Angeles, California, the show centers upon the Forrester family and their haute couture business. Stephanie Forrester is a fictional character from ''The Bold and the Beautiful'', an American soap opera on the CBS network. Stephanie is known as a strong woman who acts decisively and sometimes also controversially, to protect her children and her marriage to the famed fashion designer Eric Forrester. The determination to overprotect her children stems as a result the abuse Stephanie suffered as a child at the hands of her father John Douglas. Stephanie had a long-standing rivalry with Brooke Logan, who at first was a serious competitor for Eric's love, and later was involved with her two sons Ridge and Thorne.
