General (Sweden), General Carl Eric Åke Almgren (4 March 1913 – 20 May 2001) was a senior Swedish Army officer. Almgren served as Chief of the Defence Staff (Sweden), Chief of the Defence Staff from 1961 to 1967, military commander of the Eastern Military District (Sweden), Eastern Military District (Milo Ö) from 1967 to 1969 and as the Chief of Army (Sweden), Chief of the Army from 1969 to 1976. Born to Captain Carl Almgren and Esther Tell, he excelled in school, displaying a keen intellect. Despite his theoretical abilities, he chose a military path over academia. Known for his voracious reading habits, Almgren devoured 198 books in 1930 alone. Almgren's military journey commenced when he became an officer cadet at the Life Grenadier Regiment (Sweden), Life Grenadier Regiment, succeeding his father in 1931. Carl-Eric Björkegren
Carl-Eric Björkegren (born 9 October 1920 – disappeared 2 June 1994) was a Swedish director, art collector, and businessman. After a successful career within the steel conglomerate Sandvik AB, he transitioned into the financial industry - leveraging and acquiring real estate, stocks, and art. For many, he was a symbol of the 1980s boom economy. Björkegren was, for a period, one of Sweden's wealthiest individuals and possessed what was described as Sweden's finest private art collection. In the early 1990s, his empire crumbled, and he eventually declared personal bankruptcy with 1.3 billion Swedish kronor in debt. In 1994, he disappeared without a trace. On 11 November 2005, Björkegren was declared dead in absentia by the Stockholm District Court. Biography Roberts was born and raised in London but relocated to Germany to study classics. Carl Eric Wickman (born Erik Wretman; 7 August 1887 – 5 February 1954) was a Swedish-born businessman who was the founder of Greyhound Lines. Background Wickman was born Erik Wretman at Martisgården, a family farm located near the small village of Limbäck in the parish of Våmhus, 15 km north of Mora in the province Dalarna, Sweden. He was the son of farmer Karl Viktor Wretman (1858-1947) and Anna Matsdotter (1862-1943) and the maternal grandson of hair jewelry artist Martis Karin Ersdotter.
