Carine Bijlsma (born February 16, 1983) is a Dutch documentary filmmaker and photographer. Education After graduating high school she studied photography in New York, Florence, and Amsterdam. She graduated from the Netherlands Film and Television Academy in 2008. Awards Her films have won several awards, including an honorable mention in the Short Documentary Award category at the DOXA Documentary Film Festival and the Wildcard. Personal life Bijlsma is the daughter of cellist Anner Bylsma and violinist Vera Beths, and the maternal half-sister of actress Katja Herbers. Louis Andriessen
Louis Joseph Andriessen (; 6 June 1939 – 1 July 2021) was a Dutch composer, pianist and academic teacher. Considered the most influential Dutch composer of his generation, he was a central proponent of The Hague school of composition. Although his music was initially dominated by neoclassicism and serialism, his style gradually shifted to a synthesis of American minimalism, big band jazz and the expressionism of Igor Stravinsky. Born in Utrecht into a musical family, Andriessen studied with his father, the composer Hendrik Andriessen as well as composers Kees van Baaren and Luciano Berio. Andriessen taught at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague from 1974 to 2012, influencing notable composers. Richard G. J. Hutten (born 30 March 1967, in Zwollerkerspel) is a Dutch industrial designer, art director, and artist who is active in furniture design, product design, interior design, and exhibition design. Jan Taminiau (born 14 September 1975) is a Dutch clothes designer who launched his own fashion label bearing his name (written as one word) in 2003. Alain Platel (born 9 April 1956) is a Belgian choreographer and director. In 1984, he founded les ballets C de la B, which has been called 'one of the world's most influential dance theatre companies'. Platel came to prominence alongside choreographers like Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker and Wim Vandekeybus in what became known as the Flemish Wave. Elsie de Brauw (born 1960) is a Dutch actress. Early life and education Elsie de Brauw was born in The Hague, The Netherlands, in 1960.
