Cardiff Roller Collective
The Cardiff Roller Collective (CRoC) are a roller sports league based in Cardiff, Wales. Founded in 2010, the league has three roller derby, one roller hockey team, and an artistic skating group. Founded in October 2010, It initially had two teams, the Raiders of Roath Park and the Roathmantics; these were subsequently rearranged. The Collective was also joined by the Bridgend Bombshells, which had been founded in 2009. United Kingdom Roller Derby Association
The United Kingdom Roller Derby Association (UKRDA) was the member-led National Association for roller derby in the UK, with the aim of promoting and lobbying for the sport. The association was formed in 2008 but formalised in 2010 with 14 member leagues and in February 2011, it was recognised by the British Roller Sports Federation. In June 2021, an EGM was held to discuss the closure of the association due to inadequate support for the organisation's running. It was disbanded shortly thereafter. Artistic roller skating is a competitive sport similar to figure skating but where competitors wear roller skates instead of ice skates. Within artistic roller skating, there are several disciplines: * Figures: the individual follows the figure circle line on a specific edge.
