Carder.su
Carder.su is a crime forum and online marketplace specialising in the sale of credit card details and identity theft. Since 2007, Operation Open Market, an operation run by the HSI and the United States Secret Service has targeted the site, believed to be based in Las Vegas in the US. In 2011, an alleged major vendor of credit card dumps and prominent Carder.su member, Roman Seleznev, was apprehended in the Maldives by US law enforcement. In 2012, identity thief David Ray Camez was arrested and charged with everyone else in an unprecedented use of the RICO legislation. In early 2012, American cash-out master and top level carder Cameron "Kilobit" Harrison and 38 other people were indicted under the R.I.C.O. statute and arrested for buying and selling hacked and or otherwise compromised card details via Carder.su. A crime forum is a generic term for an Internet forum specialising in computer crime and Internet fraud activities such as hacking, Online Identity Theft, Phishing, Pharming, Malware Attacks or spamming. During the early days of the Internet public dial up BBSes would serve to put miscreants in touch with one another to share tips of credit card fraud, hacking and other illicit services. By the 2000s and the rise of the web, modern Internet forum software was preferred, with private invite-only sites being the most long lived. Sites like ShadowCrew, counterfeitlibrary.com and the Russian language carderplanet.com would specialise in various illegal activities before each eventually succumbing to law enforcement action. Roman Valerevich Seleznev (or Seleznyov, russian: Роман Валерьевич Селезнёв; born 1984), also known by his hacker name Track2, is a Russian computer hacker.
