Carcerato (1981 Film)
''Carcerato'' (i.e. "Inmate") is a 1981 Italian melodrama film written and directed by Alfonso Brescia and starring Mario Merola. Plot Francesco Improta is an honest fruit and vegetable peddler who lives with his elderly mother Assunta and daughter Fiorella. His wife Lucia left home two years earlier, as, in order to help the family, she did not hesitate to give herself to the boss Peppino Ascalone, with whom she is now forced to live together. Francesco decides to welcome his wife back to get her away from her lover: he telephones her, but the communication is interrupted by Peppino, who is accused by Lucia of the disdain for the state she is in because of him. In response, Ascalone slaps her, causing her to escape, before receiving a visit from another boss, Nicola Esposito, who colds him with three gunshots and then runs away. Alfonso Brescia
Alfonso Brescia (6 January 1930 – 6 June 2001) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. He began working in film against his father's wishes, and eventually directed his first film '' Revolt of the Praetorians'' in 1964. Brescia worked in several genres in the Italian film industry, including five science fiction films he directed following the release of ''Star Wars''. His work slowed down towards the late 1980s, and his last film ''Club Vacanze'' could not get distribution. Biography Alfonso Brescia was born in Rome on 6 January 1930. He was the son of a film producer and entered the film business against his father's will. His father had him work as a production driver, which involved getting up early to persuade him against entering the business which did not work. Giorgio Ardisson
Giorgio Ardisson, best known as George Ardisson (31 December 1931 – 11 December 2014), was an Italian actor. Life and career Born in Turin, Ardisson debuted in a minor role in Mauro Bolognini's 1959 film '' Arrangiatevi!''. After several secondary roles in sword-and-sandal and adventure films, he gained a huge success playing Agent 3S3 in the eurospy films '' Agent 3S3: Passport to Hell'' and '' Agent 3S3, Massacre in the Sun''. According to director Sergio Sollima, he was chosen for this role thanks to his physical appearance that made him credible as American. Sergio Castellitto (born 18 August 1953) is an Italian film director, actor, and screenwriter. Biography Sergio Castellitto was born in Rome in 1953, to parents from Molise and Abruzzo, Southern Italy. After graduating from the Silvio D'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art in 1978, he began his theatrical career in Italian public theater with Shakespeare's ''Measure for Measure'' at the Teatro di Roma and with roles in other plays such as ''La Madre'' by Brecht, ''Merchant of Venice'', and ''Candelaio'' by Giordano Bruno. At the Teatro di Genova he starred in the roles of Tuzenbach in Chekhov's ''Three Sisters'' and Jean in Strindberg's ''Miss Julie'', both under the direction of Otomar Krejča. Piero Regnoli (1921–2001) was an Italian screenwriter and film director. Career Born in 1921, Regnoli worked in the film industry between 1953 and 1991 where he wrote over 110 screenplays and directed 11 films. Regnoli's work ranged from sword-and-sandal films, westerns, horror and sexy comedies. His final film where he was officially credited as a director was '' La principessa sul pisello'' in 1976. Regnoli did uncredited direction on the 1986 melodrama ''Giuro che ti amo'' starring Nino D'Angelo. Regnoli was also employed as the film critic for the Vatican's daily newspaper ''L'Osservatore Romano''. Regnoli died in 2001.
