Car-Man
Car-Man (russian: Кар-Мэн) is a Russian technopop band. It was one of the top Soviet/Russian bands in the early and mid nineties. Car-Man created a massive fan following that ranged from music and dance to hair styles and speech. The band won a number of top prizes in 1991. Car-Man was formed in 1989 by Sergey Lemokh and Bogdan Titomir. Their debut album called ''Vokrug sveta'' ( en, Around the World, italic=yes) was very successful because of very exotic sound and style and for soviet pop scene. In 1991 the band had split - Lemokh stayed with Car-Man, while Titomir started a solo project, with debut album called ''Vysokaya Energya'' ( en, High Energy, italic=yes).Jouravleva, N. Sergey Lemokh
Sergey Lemokh (born as Sergey Ogurtsov) is a leader of a Soviet/Russian pop band Car-Man and rock band Carbonrock. Lemokh was born in city of Moscow, Soviet Union on May 14, 1965. He graduated from Moscow Cooperative Institute in 1988. In 1990 Lemokh co-founded Car-Man with Bogdan Titomir. After Titomir left in 1991, Lemokh continued as a solo leader of the band.Jouravleva, N. Bogdan Titomir
Bogdan Titomir (born March 16, 1967, in Odesa, Ukrainian SSR) is a Ukrainian and Russian musician, rapper and DJ, who began his career in a popular 1990s duo Car-Man. Although Titomir's style derives from western stars such as MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice, as well as C&C Music Factory, he has established his own distinct style as a pop and rap performer as well as a DJ. Biography Bogdan Titomir was born March 16, 1967, in Odesa. His parents were engineers. His mother's maiden name was Titorenko. In childhood, he learned to play guitar and piano. After school he served in the army, where he participated in amateur performances. After that he began working with other musicians (Laskoviy Mai, Dmitriy Malikov, Vladimir Maltsev). Techno is a genre of electronic dance music (EDM) which is generally produced for use in a continuous DJ set, with tempo often varying between 120 and 150 beats per minute (bpm). The central rhythm is typically in common time (4/4) and often characterized by a repetitive four on the floor beat.
