Capitolio TV
Capitolio TV is a Venezuelan television channel established in 2016. It is headquartered at the Federal Legislative Palace in Caracas. The channel is owned and operated by the National Assembly of Venezuela. It was established after the old parliament decided to close Asamblea Nacional Televisión after the opposition led by Democratic Unity Roundtable won the majority of the seats in the 2015 Venezuelan parliamentary election; for that reason it was replaced by the National Audiovisual Television Foundation ANTV granting the concession to its workers. History Capitolio TV was founded on October 7, 2016 through YouTube, and was scheduled to open on October 18, 2016. However, the signal did not air that day because officials of the Military House positioned in the adjacencies of the Federal Legislative Palace and there was a march of supporters of the ruling party in the vicinity of said palace. Flag Of Venezuela
The current eight stars flag of Venezuela was introduced in 2006. The basic design includes a horizontal tricolour of yellow, blue, and red, dating to the original flag introduced in 1811, in the Venezuelan War of Independence. Further modifications have involved including a set of stars, multiple changes to the placement and number of stars and inclusion of an optional coat of arms at the upper-left corner. Television in Venezuela began in 1952, when the president Marcos Pérez Jiménez launched the state channel Televisora Nacional, making Venezuela the ninth country in the world to have a public television network. Global Voices is an international community of writers, bloggers and digital activists that aim to translate and report on what is being said in citizen media worldwide. It is a non-profit project started at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard Law School that grew out of an international bloggers' meeting held in December 2004. 2017 Venezuelan Protests
The 2017 Venezuelan protests were a series of protests occurring throughout Venezuela. Protests began in January 2017 after the arrest of multiple opposition leaders and the cancellation of dialogue between the opposition and Nicolás Maduro's government. As the tension continued, the 2017 Venezuelan constitutional crisis began in late March when the pro-government Supreme Tribunal of Justice (TSJ) dissolved the opposition-led National Assembly, with the intensity of protests increasing greatly throughout Venezuela following the decision. Tomás Ignacio Guanipa Villalobos (born 31 December 1971, Maracaibo) is a Venezuelan politician who is an incumbent deputy to the National Assembly of Venezuela and the leader of the Justice First party.
