Capital Hill (postcode: 2600) is the location of Parliament House, Canberra, at the south apex of the land axis of the Parliamentary Triangle. The site was selected as the location of the ''Capitol'' in Walter Burley Griffin's Canberra design in 1912, which he envisaged to be "either a general administration structure for popular receptions and ceremony or for housing archives and commemorating Australian Achievements". The proposed building is commemorated in the name of the ''Capitol Theatre'', Manuka. However, Griffin's name for the hill was subsequently changed to Capital Hill. The Parliament buildings were to be located a little further down the hill towards Lake Burley Griffin at Camp Hill, between Capital Hill and the Provisional Parliament House. Capitol Hill (Former Japanese name: 中山, ''Nakayama''; sometimes spelled Capital Hill, formerly Army Hill under the United States Navy) is a settlement (sometimes termed a village or district) on the island of Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands. It has a population of just over 1,000. Capitol Hill has been the territory's seat of government since 1962. It lies on the cross-island road between Tanapag and San Vicente. Lilongwe (, , ) is the capital and most populated city of the African country of Malawi. It has a population of 989,318 as of the 2018 Census, up from a population of 674,448 in 2008. In 2020 that figure was 1,122,000. The city is located in the central region of Malawi, in the district of the same name, near the borders with Mozambique and Zambia, and it is an important economic and transportation hub for central Malawi. It is named after the Lilongwe River. History Lilongwe was first set up as a boma by the local leader Njewa in 1902. It became an administrative center in 1904. Capital Hill Residence is a villa located on the north-face hillside of Barvikha, a town west of Moscow. History It was designed by Iraqi / British architect Zaha Hadid and Patrik Schumacher of Zaha Hadid Architects for property developer Vladislav Doronin. Construction on the project began in 2006 and it is the only private house that Hadid built during her lifetime.
