Ana Matos Fernandes, better known by the stage name Capicua, is a Portugal, Portuguese rapper from Porto. Biography Ana Matos Fernandes was born in Porto, Portugal and graduated in Sociology in ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, ISCTE and got her PhD in Human Geography at Barcelona. Nonetheless, she always wanted to make music. Her songs started to reach the mainstream media in 2012. She began making collaborations with several artists, such as Sérgio Godinho, Sam the Kid and DJ Ride. Her work is strongly influenced by Portuguese poets, such as Sophia de Mello Breyner. Sérgio Godinho
Sérgio de Barros Godinho (; born 31 August 1945) is a Portuguese singer-songwriter, composer, actor, poet and author. Considered one of the most influential popular musicians in Portugal, Godinho started his music career singing folk songs of ''música de intervenção'' (Portuguese protest songs) while in exile, in the years preceding the Carnation Revolution of 1974 in Portugal, and is regarded as one of the genre's major figures. Besides his music career, Godinho is also a stage and film actor, and has released poetry and fiction books. Early life Sérgio Godinho was born in Porto on 31 August 1945. He bought his first acoustic guitar when he was 15 years-old. He lived in Porto during his youth. The LP (from long playing or long play) is an analog sound storage medium, specifically a phonograph record format characterized by: a speed of rpm; a 12- or 10-inch (30- or 25-cm) diameter; use of the "microgroove" groove specification; and a vinyl (a copolymer of vinyl chloride acetate) composition disk. Sophia De Mello Breyner
Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen (6 November 1919 – 2 July 2004) was a Portuguese poet and writer. Considered one of the most important Portuguese poets of the 20th century, she published fourteen poetry books between 1944 and 1997, covering themes such as the natural world, the search for justice, Ancient Greece and the importance of poetry. As a novelist, she published several children's books, which she wrote for her own children, mainly in the 1950s and 1960s. She also wrote essays and theatre plays. Andresen was actively involved in social causes and politics. An opponent of the '' Estado Novo'' regime and the Portuguese Colonial War, she was a founder of the National Commission for Support of Political Prisoners. Rapper
Rapping (also rhyming, flowing, spitting, emceeing, or MCing) is an artistic form of vocal delivery and emotive expression that incorporates "rhyme, rhythmic speech, and ommonlystreet vernacular". It is usually performed over a backing beat or musical accompaniment. The components of rap include "content" (what is being said, e.g., lyrics), "flow" (rhythm, rhyme), and "delivery" ( cadence, tone).
