Canterbury School (Gran Canaria)
The Canterbury School is a private school, private coeducational bilingual day school founded in 1972 by owner and headteacher Beryl Pritchard. The main school campus is located 4 km outside Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in purposely designed buildings which house the Primary school, Primary, Secondary school, Secondary and administrative departments. The Infant school and nursery is located in the city of Las Palmas and a newer, although smaller, second Primary school is located near to Playa del Ingles, Maspalomas in the south of the island. The school is authorised by both the British Council, NABSS, and local Spanish educational authorities to deliver a British-style education on the island. The National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS, ) is an association and international accrediting body of English independent schools operating in Spain which also has an affiliation with the British Council in Spain. Santiago Aldama Toledo (born January 10th 2001) is a Spanish professional basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Infant School
