Canteen (charity)
Canteen is an Australian national support organisation for young people (aged 12–25) living with cancer; including cancer patients, their brothers and sisters, and young people with parents or primary carers with cancer. Canteen was created by young cancer patients in 1985 and its policies are guided by young people living with cancer. The organisation is also present in New Zealand. On the last Friday of October, Canteen holds National Bandanna Day. Bandannas are sold to fundraise. Kerchief
A kerchief (from the Old French ''couvre-chef'', "cover head"), also known as a bandana or bandanna, is a triangular or square piece of cloth tied around the Human head, head, face, or neck for protective or decorative purposes. The popularity of ''head kerchiefs'' may vary by culture or religion, often being used as a Christian headcovering by men and women of the Anabaptist, Eastern Orthodox, and Plymouth Brethren denominations, as well as by some Orthodox Jewish and Muslim men and women and is also considered a hat. Shannan Ponton
Shannan Ponton is a personal trainer on the Australian version of ''The Biggest Loser''. He made his first appearance during the show's second season in 2007, where he trained the blue team alongside Bob Harper. After Harper's departure during the second week of training, Ponton was left as the official trainer of the blue team, and he continued his role as the blue team's trainer during the show's third season in 2008. Chris Bond (wheelchair Rugby)
Christopher Adam Bond (born 28 May 1986) is an Australian wheelchair rugby player. He has won gold medals at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Paralympics and a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics. Personal Bond and his identical twin brother were born on 28 May 1986, and grew up in the Australian Capital Territory. He is missing both legs below his knees, his left wrist and his right four fingers as a result of a severe infection from a flesh eating bacterium he got while also being diagnosed with leukemia when he was nineteen years old. During his rehab, he was often one of the youngest people in gym. While he adjusted to life without his limbs, he started swimming at the pool at the Australian Institute of Sport. Optamus
Scott Griffiths, better known by the stage name Optamus, is one of the MCs of the Perth-based Australian hip-hop group Downsyde and member of WA's Syllabolix Crew. Optamus is also the name of Griffiths' solo project. Music career Downsyde Griffiths with fellow Craigie Senior High School classmate Shahbaz Rind (Dyna-mikes ) founded Downsyde in 1996. It was the following year that they released a demo cassette ''Behind the Bucket'' which topped the independent charts within a week of its release. Kathryn Robinson (journalist)
Kathryn Robinson is an Australian journalist, television and radio presenter. Career Robinson originally studied economics at Macquarie University in 1993 and began her career working for Macquarie Bank, before deciding to switch to journalism in 2001 when she completed her master's degree in journalism. She later worked as a reporter for the Seven Network's Sydney Weekender. Since that time she has worked as a reporter in the Prime newsroom in Orange, hosted ''State Focus'', a Southern Cross Ten current affairs program in Canberra, and worked as a producer and presenter at ''Sky News Australia'' in Sydney. David Mackay (footballer)
David Mackay (born 25 July 1988) is a retired professional Australian rules football player who played for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by the club at pick 48 in the 2006 AFL draft, 2006 National Draft and stayed with the team until he retired at the end of the 2021 season. He played 248 games for Adelaide and was part of their team in the 2017 AFL Grand Final. Pre-AFL career Mackay came from Melbourne side, Oakleigh Chargers and appeared in the 2006 Victorian U/18 Metro side where he was inspirational in the grand final.
