Cannock Chase Radio
Cannock Chase Radio FM is a community radio station, broadcasting to Cannock Chase District in Staffordshire, England. The station's tagline is "The Greatest Hits and So Much More!" and it has been broadcasting online since 15 November 2014 from studios in Bridgtown, Cannock. Cannock Chase Radio launched on FM on 30 March 2018 with 89.6 MHz being used in Rugeley and 94.0 MHz in Cannock. The station started broadcasting on 89.8 MHz in November 2020 to Burntwood, Lichfield and Brownhills. History Cannock Chase Radio was created by Rob, Jane, and James Hughes, who felt that the area needed a radio station of its own. Many radio stations cover the area, but they felt that the Cannock Chase District was overlooked in terms of radio. Cannock Chase is a Non-metropolitan district, local government district in Staffordshire, England. It is named after and covers a large part of Cannock Chase, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, National Landscape. The council is based in the town of Cannock. The district also contains the towns of Hednesford and Rugeley, as well as a number of villages and surrounding rural areas. Bridgtown
Bridgtown is a village and civil parish, in the Cannock Chase District of Staffordshire, England. It is situated on the A5 between Cannock and Great Wyrley. There are multiple industrial and retail estates in and around the village, as well as residential areas. The parish council describe Bridgtown as either a village or an area. There is now only one church in Bridgtown, the Bethel Church. There was one on Church Street but it is now used for commercial purposes. The Chase Line railway from Rugeley to Walsall passes the south of Bridgtown over the M6 Toll and A5, with the nearest station at Cannock. Rugeley
Rugeley ( ) is a market town and civil parish in the Cannock Chase District, in Staffordshire, England. It lies on the north-eastern edge of Cannock Chase next to the River Trent; it is north of Lichfield, southeast of Stafford, northeast of Hednesford and southwest of Uttoxeter. At the 2021 Census, the population was 26,156. Cannock () is a town in the Cannock Chase district in the county of Staffordshire, England. It had a population of 29,018. Burntwood is a former mining town and civil parish in the Lichfield District of Staffordshire, England. It is approximately west of Lichfield and north east of Brownhills, with a population of 26,049 and forming part of Lichfield district. Brownhills is a historic market and industrial town in the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall of the West Midlands county, England.
