Candyland (group)
Candyland is an American electronic music duo consisting of Josephine "Josie" Mary Martin (born December 17, 1988) and Ethan Davis. In 2014, Ethan Davis officially left the project, therefore transforming Candyland into a solo act. However, in July 2021, Ethan and Josie announced that they had reunited as a duo, and they released their comeback single "Nirvana" in 2022. Critical reception Matthew Meadow of ''Your EDM'' described " Speechless" as having "a fresh groove to it that definitely heats up the dancefloor" with "a strong house vibe that combines with flutes and synths from tropical house, creating a pleasant combination that works for any setting." Electro house is a genre of electronic dance music and a subgenre of house music characterized by heavy bass and a tempo around 125–135 beats per minute. The term has been used to describe the music of many ''DJ Mag'' Top 100 DJs, including Benny Benassi, Skrillex, Steve Aoki, and Deadmau5. Characteristics Simon Reynolds described electro house, as a style attributed to artists like Zedd, Erol Alkan and Bloody Beetroots. Electro-house is typified by its heavy bass. John Dadzie (born June 7, 1982), better known by his stage names 12th Planet and Infiltrata, is an American DJ and dubstep producer from Los Angeles. Biography Born John Dadzie, he grew up in South Los Angeles, the youngest of four children. He was first introduced to the electronic music scene in high school. After forming Imperial Recordings with DJ Lith, he launched his production skills on his own terms, originally producing drum and bass under the alias Infiltrata. In September 2017, Warner Music Group acquired Spinnin' Records for over $100 million. Breathe Carolina are an American electronic music duo from Denver, Colorado. The duo formed in 2007 consisting of David Schmitt and Kyle Even. They later expanded to a full band whose best-known lineup included Schmitt, Even, drummer Eric Armenta, keytarist Joshua Aragon and DJ Luis Bonet.
