''Candy Pop'' is the fourth EP by American rock band Awolnation. It was released on November 10, 2023. Background In late 2022, Awolnation released two new singles: "Freaking Me Out" and "We Are All Insane". On September 22, 2023, they released the single "Candy Pop" and announced the EP of the same name that day. It is the band's first EP in over a decade. Musically, the EP returns to a more electronic sound reminiscent of the band's early work. Frontman Aaron Bruno describes the title track as "a story about escaping from never-ending technological advancements and constant connectivity and scrutiny… The adventure of a lifetime can come from ‘tuning out." Subsequently, the intention with “Candy Pop” was to create a song that epitomizes the seductive nature of pop music and pop culture, while pointing out the absurdity of it all at once. Better Noise Music is the rebranded and re-organized record label founded in 2006 by Allen Kovac, CEO of 10th Street Entertainment. The label was previously known as Eleven Seven Label Group with Eleven Seven, Five Seven and Better Noise Records as imprints. They are an artist development label, developing new bands in the rock music genre. Aaron Bruno
Aaron Richard Bruno (born November 11, 1978) is an American musician who is the founder, lead singer and last remaining original member of Awolnation. He is also currently the vocalist of the hardcore band, The Barbarians of California, along with other members of Awolnation. He is a former member of the indie rock band Under the Influence of Giants, the post-grunge band Home Town Hero, and the post-hardcore band Insurgence. Early life and education Bruno was born and raised in Westlake Village, a city west of Los Angeles. He started playing guitar before he was 10 years old. He was diagnosed with attention deficit disorder in high school. During high school Bruno was nicknamed "AWOL" for leaving parties early and used this nickname in rap battles. Background The album was recorded virtually with several artists during the COVID-19 pandemic. ''The Phantom Five'' is the fifth studio album by the American rock band Awolnation. It was released on August 30, 2024. Background The first single from the album, "Panoramic View", was released on March 29, 2024. On May 23, 2024, the album's title and cover art were revealed. A week later, on May 31 the band released the single "Jump Sit Stand March", which features Emily Armstrong of the band Dead Sara, and later Linkin Park. According to Awolnation's frontman Aaron Bruno, the song is about "overstimulation and being frustrated with having to please everybody's virtues all at the same time." Elohim is an American electropop recording artist, DJ, producer and singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles. Career At the age of five, Elohim began playing the piano and writing songs. She suffered from severe anxiety for most of her life, and has used music as a way to cope. The stage name "Elohim" is one of the Hebrew names for "God". The name inspired Elohim and moved her "in a really deep way" as it brought her "strength, solace, beauty and confidence."
