Candido Amantini
Candido Amantini, CP, (January 31, 1914 – September 22, 1992), was an Italian Passionist priest. For 36 years Amantini was the exorcist of the Diocese of Rome, stationed at the Scala Sancta, Pontifical Sanctuary of the Holy Stairs. He also taught Sacred Scripture and Moral Theology and wrote a book entitled ''Il Mistero di Maria'', about the Mary, the mother of Jesus, Virgin Mary. Personal life Candido Amantini was born ''Eraldo Ulisse Mauro Amantini'' in Bagnolo di Santa Fiora, Province of Grosseto, Tuscany, the second of four children born to Giovanni Battista Amantini and Diolinda Fratini Amantini. He was baptized on February 7, 1914. At age 12, he entered the Passionist Seminary in Rome (Nettuno) on October 26, 1926. Jacuzzi is an American private company that manufactures and markets hot tubs, pools, and other bath products. It is best known for the Jacuzzi hydrotherapy products. The company is headquartered in Irvine, California. It is the largest hot tub manufacturer in Europe with eight factories, the largest being in Italy. The company was founded in 1915 by seven Italian immigrant brothers from the Jacuzzi family in Berkeley, California. It developed a variety of products including pumps for agricultural use. In 1948, Jacuzzi created water pumps to treat a family member's rheumatoid arthritis. The water pumps were a niche medical product until they were integrated into a recreational hot tub in 1968. Candido Portinari (December 29, 1903 – February 6, 1962) was a Brazilian painter. He is considered one of the most important Brazilian painters as well as a prominent and influential practitioner of the neo-realism style in painting. Portinari painted more than five thousand canvases, from small sketches to monumental works such as the '' Guerra e Paz'' panels, which were donated to the United Nations Headquarters in 1956. Candido Tirona y Tria (August 29, 1863 – November 10, 1896) was a Filipino revolutionary leader who participated and died in the Battle of Binakayan-Dalahican during the Philippine Revolution. Antonio Candido de Mello e Souza (July 24, 1918 – May 12, 2017) was a Brazilian writer, professor, sociologist, and literary critic. As a critic of Brazilian literature, he is regarded as having been one of the foremost scholars on the subject by Brazilian universities. Jonathan Joseph "Candy" Candido (December 25, 1913 – May 19, 1999) was an American radio performer and voice actor. He was best remembered for his famous line "I'm feeling mighty low". Candido was known for providing many animal vocalizations. Giacomo Candido (10 July 1871, in Guagnano – 30 December 1941, in Galatina) was an Italian mathematician and historian of mathematics. John Candito (born June 11, 1982) is an American semi-retired professional wrestler, and is the younger brother of late professional wrestler Chris Candido. ''Candido'' was a satirical magazine published in Milan, Italy, between 1945 and 1961. It was cofounded and edited by Giovannino Guareschi. History and profile ''Candido'' was started in 1945 as a successor of another satirical magazine ''Bertoldo''. It was cofounded by Giovannino Guareschi, Giaci Mondaini and Giovanni Mosca on the request of the Italian publisher Angelo Rizzoli. The magazine was published on a weekly basis, and its headquarters was in Milan. Giovannino Guareschi also served as the editor-in-chief of the magazine and resigned from the post in 1957.
