Canadian Screen Music Awards
The Canadian Screen Music Awards are a Canadian award, launched in 2022 by the Screen Composers Guild of Canada to honour achievements in musical composition for film, television and digital media. Nominees for the inaugural awards were announced on August 16, 2022, with the awards presented on September 21. Peter Chapman (born August 27, 1980), also known by his stage names Coins and Peter Project, is a Canadian music producer and composer from Toronto, Ontario, best known for his record ''Daft Science'', a free EP of Beastie Boys remixes using only Daft Punk samples, released on July 1, 2014. He is a member of the Canadian hip hop crew Backburner and played keyboards in the garage rock band The Midways. ''Daft Science'' ''Daft Science'' is an eight-track remix album that combines Beastie Boys vocal tracks with Daft Punk music samples. The album was created in March 2014 while Chapman was on a layover in Chicago on his way to South by Southwest. Ruby And The Well
''Ruby and the Well'' is a family fantasy TV show on BYUtv, premiered in America on February 27, 2022. The show features a present-day teenager whose father inherits an orchard in Emerald. This leads to the two moving to Emerald where Ruby discovers a wishing well. Once she makes contact with the wishing well, Ruby becomes the new keeper of the well and must grant the wells wishes so that the town can prosper. Season one (spring 2022) and season two (fall 2022) both contain ten episodes, with season 2 having been picked up before season 1 even debuted.
