Canada Cup (floorball)
The Canada Cup Floorball Championship, more commonly referred to as The Canada Cup, is an international floorball club Open (sport), open competition held annually during the Victoria Day long weekend in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. First held in :2004 in floorball, 2004, the competition is a multi-division Open (sport), open, with 8 divisions for multiple age-groups and skill levels. The tournament was the second of its kind in North America (the Fresno Floorball Club [Fresno, CA] held the first ever tournament in May 2000) and is the biggest floorball competition outside of Europe. It attracts over 55 floorball clubs from worldwide, every year. The 2010 edition of the event was held at York University from May 21 to 23. Czech Open (floorball)
Czech Open is an international floorball tournament. It takes place every year in August in Prague, Czech Republic. It is one of the largest floorball tournaments in the world. Every year over 200 teams from around the world participate. The first season was played in 1993. The tournament is organized by Prague floorball club Tatran Střešovice. There are seven categories in the tournament. Both men and women have three categories (Elite, Pro and Open) and juniors have one. Czech teams have a number of places reserved, which are assigned according to standings of the teams in Czech floorball leagues (such as Superliga florbalu or Extraliga žen ve florbale). United States Women's National Floorball Team
United States women's national floorball team is the national team of the United States. At the 2003 Floorball Women's World Championship in Germany, the team finished sixth in the B-Division. At the 2005 Floorball Women's World Championship in Singapore, the team finished second in the B-Division. At the 2007 Floorball Women's World Championship in Frederikshavn, Denmark, the team finished ninth in the A-Division. The International Floorball Federation (IFF) is the worldwide governing body for the sport of floorball. It was founded on 12 April 1986 in Huskvarna, Sweden, by representatives from the national floorball associations of Finland, Sweden and Switzerland. It is based in Helsinki, Finland. The president of the federation is Filip Šuman. The federation became a member of Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) in 2000.
