Amanda Camm
Amanda Jane Camm (born 18 April 1979) is a member of the Parliament of Queensland representing the Liberal Nationals. She first stood for the seat of Whitsunday as a member of Katter's Australian Party in the 2012 Queensland State election. Camm was elected deputy mayor of the Mackay Regional Council in April 2016. She was a candidate for the Australian Senate in May 2019 but, being placed fifth on the LNP ticket, was not elected. At the 2020 Queensland state election Camm defeated Jason Costigan in the seat of Whitsunday. David Ray Camm (born March 23, 1964) is a former trooper of the Indiana State Police (ISP) who spent 13 years in prison after twice being wrongfully convicted of the murders of his wife, Kimberly, and his two young children at their home in Georgetown, Indiana, on September 28, 2000. He was released from custody in 2013 after his third trial resulted in an acquittal. Charles Boney is currently serving time for the murders of Camm's wife and two children. Frederick James Camm
Frederick James "F.J." Camm (6 October 1895 – 18 February 1959) was an English technical author and magazine editor. He founded several radio and electronics titles, including '' Practical Mechanics'', '' Practical Motorist'', '' Practical Television'', and ''Practical Wireless'', some of which are still in circulation. Biography Camm was born in Windsor, England, the second child of twelve. The eldest, Sydney Camm, became a famous aircraft designer. He shared with Sydney an early interest in building model aeroplanes and this led him to move to London in 1918. Here, he became a technical editor for Benn Brothers in aviation and engineering. From there he worked for Pitmans Publishers and moved eventually, with his friend Molloy, to George Newnes. It was there that he was to produce the ''Hobbies'' journals. Ron Camm
Ronald Ernest Camm (22 July 1914 – 15 March 1988) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Biography Camm was born in Emerald, Queensland, the son of Jonathan Robert Camm and his wife Tassie (née Johnson). He was educated in Rockhampton and Mackay and began his working life for OE Neale in Mackay. After a time working as a labourer in Bloomsbury he became a canefarmer at Mount Julia. Sydney Camm
Sir Sydney Camm, CBE, FRAeS (5 August 189312 March 1966) was an English aeronautical engineer who contributed to many Hawker aircraft designs, from the biplanes of the 1920s to jet fighters. One particularly notable aircraft he designed was the Hawker Hurricane fighter. Early years Sydney Camm was born at 10 Alma Road in Windsor, Berkshire, the eldest child of the twelve children of Frederick Camm, a carpenter/joiner and Mary Smith. The Camm family lived near Windsor & Eton Central railway station. His brother Frederick James Camm became a technical author, and created the '' Practical Wireless'' magazine. CAMM (missile Family)
The CAMM (Common Anti-Air Modular Missile) is a family of surface-to-air missiles developed by MBDA UK for the United Kingdom. CAMM shares some common features and components with the ASRAAM air-to-air missile, but with updated electronics and an active radar homing seeker. As Sea Ceptor, CAMM is replacing the Sea Wolf missile on Type 23 frigates of the Royal Navy since 2018. As Land Ceptor, it is the missile part of the Sky Sabre air defence system, which since 2021 has been replacing the Rapier missile in British Army service. The system is also contributing to the updating of MBDA's ASRAAM in service with the Royal Air Force.
