Camillo Camilli (c. 1704 – 1754) was a notable master luthier of the 18th century. The instruments of Camilli, most of which he made in Mantua, in northern Italy, are prized by string musicians to this day. He was a pupil of Zanotti, but was mainly influenced by Pietro Guarneri of Mantua, called the grandfather of Mantuan violin making. Carlo Camilli (born 2 October 1984) is an Italian footballer who plays for Ternana as a goalkeeper. Career Born in Umbertide, the Province of Perugia, Camilli played for Perugia in 2004–05 Serie B. He wore no.31 shirt as fourth keeper, behind Željko Kalac, Lorenzo Squizzi and Davide Faraon. After Perugia expelled from professional league in 2005, he left for Swiss side Young Fellows Juventus and returned to Sansovino the following summer. In summer 2008 he was signed by Colligiana and in August signed by Serie B team Ascoli. On 19 August 2010 he was signed by Serie B newcomer Pescara and awarded no.13 shirt. Adolph Louis Camilli (April 23, 1907 – October 21, 1997) was an American first baseman in Major League Baseball who spent most of his career with the Philadelphia Phillies and Brooklyn Dodgers. He was named the National League's Most Valuable Player in after leading the league in home runs and runs batted in as the Dodgers won the pennant for the first time since 1920. He was the ninth National League player to hit 200 career home runs, and held the Dodgers franchise record for career home runs from 1942 to 1953. Doug Camilli
Douglas Joseph Camilli (born September 22, 1936) is an American former catcher and coach in Major League Baseball who played from 1960–67 and in 1969 for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Senators. The son of the late MLB first baseman and slugger Dolph Camilli, he was born in Philadelphia during his father's tenure with the Phillies. Doug Camilli threw and batted right-handed, stood tall and weighed during his active career. Camilli graduated from Santa Rosa High School (Santa Rosa, California) and attended Stanford University before signing in 1957 with the Brooklyn Dodgers, for whom his father was the National League Most Valuable Player. In , his first full big-league season, Camilli appeared in 45 games played, backing up John Roseboro and Norm Sherry, and batting a career-high .284 with four home runs and 22 runs batted in. Frankie Campbell
Frankie Campbell (born ''Francesco Camilli''; 1904 – August 25, 1930) was an Italian-American boxer who fought professionally as a heavyweight. He won 33 of his 40 career fights, losing four, drawing twice, and fighting to a no-contest in another. Campbell was killed in the ring by future heavyweight champion Max Baer on August 25, 1930, in San Francisco, California. Campbell was the brother of former Major League Baseball player Dolph Camilli. Last fight Max Baer was knocked down in the 2nd round, which enraged him, and he rose from the canvas to put all his power behind a solid right-hand punch that hit Campbell flush in the chin.
