Cameroon International Film Festival
The Cameroon International Film Festival (CAMIFF) is an annual event held in Buea, Cameroon. Established in 2016 by Cameroonian actor and producer Agbor Gilbert Ebot, the festival aims to promote Cameroonian and African cinema, foster cross-cultural dialogue, and support the development of the national film industry by offering exposure, networking, and training opportunities for local filmmakers. In addition to film screenings and industry events, CAMIFF also serves as an awards platform, recognizing outstanding achievements in African filmmaking. History The Cameroon International Film Festival (CAMIFF) was launched in April 2016 with backing from the Cameroon Film Industry and the Ministry of Arts and Culture. Cameroon
Cameroon, officially the Republic of Cameroon, is a country in Central Africa. It shares boundaries with Nigeria to the west and north, Chad to the northeast, the Central African Republic to the east, and Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and the Republic of the Congo to the south. Richard Mofe-Damijo
Richard Evans Mofe-Damijo (born 6 July 1961), popularly known as RMD, is a foremost Nigerian actor, writer, producer, lawyer, and former journalist. He was also a Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State in 2009. In 2005, he won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12th Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2016. Vitalis Otia Suh
Otia Vitalis Suh (1966/1967 – 9 June 2024) was a Cameroonian film actor, director and producer. He featured in over 50 films and three television series. Early life Otia Vitalis Suh was born and raised in Tole in the Southwest Region of Cameroon. He was a native of Modelle in Menchum Division, North West Region. He grew up on a CDC plantation. He attended the Bishop Rogan College in Buea. After his studies, he worked with the Medical Service of the HEVECAM Agro-Industrial complex in Kribi. Chief Enyinna Nwigwe (born 18th September ) is a Nigerian actor, producer, and entrepreneur. He is best known for playing Nonso in '' The Wedding Party 2'', and playing Tamuno in '' Black November''. Onyama Laura (born Onyama Laura Anyeni; 14 October 1992) is a Cameroonian actress. Pan African Film Festival (PAFF) is a non-profit corporation in Los Angeles, California, United States, that states its goal is to promote "cultural understanding among peoples of African descent" through exhibiting art and film. Agbor Gilbert Ebot
Agbor Gilbert Ebot (born 8 January 1983 in Tiko) is a Cameroonian film producer. Early life Gilbert was born to Cameroonian and Nigerian parents. His father is a Cameroonian from Mamfe in Manyu Division while his mother came from Cross River state in Nigeria. He studied at the Government Technical High School (GTHS) in Mamfe where he studies engineering. Career Agbor Gilbert did not attend any technical school for film but he became so visionary and experienced that he held others to exploit the film industry. In 2003, he met Jeta Amata, Fred Amata, Olu Jacobs and Rita Dominic in Calabar while they were shooting a movie.
