Camera Japan Festival
Camera Japan Festival is a multidisciplinary Japanese arts and culture festival held each year in the Netherlands, in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Part of the movie programme goes 'on tour' the rest of the year at various cinemas across the country. The mission of Camera Japan is to show the rich diversity of Japanese culture through film and other art forms. Camera Japan wants to be a meeting place between cultures, a festival with room for both high and low culture, for young and old, and for all nationalities. Naoko Yamada
is a Japanese animator, television and film director. Working at Kyoto Animation, she directed the anime series ''K-On!'' (2009-2010) and ''Tamako Market'' (2013), and the anime films '' A Silent Voice'' (2016) and ''Liz and the Blue Bird'' (2018). In 2021, she directed the original net animation '' The Heike Story'' under Science SARU. The series premiered on Japanese television in January 2022. She has won multiple awards for her work, as well as become world renowned for her stylistic choices in anime. She was also one of the youngest people to be made a director with Kyoto Animation, getting her first directing opportunity around 4 years after finishing college and starting work for the studio. Michael Arias (born 1968) is an American-born filmmaker active primarily in Japan. Though Arias has worked variously as visual effects artist, animation software developer, and producer, he is best known for his directorial debut, the anime feature '' Tekkonkinkreet'', which established him as the first non-Japanese director of a major anime film. Kamome Diner
is a 2006 comedy film written and directed by Japanese director Naoko Ogigami, based on a novel by Yōko Mure. Yōji Yamada
is a Japanese film director best known for his '' Otoko wa Tsurai yo'' series of films and his Samurai Trilogy ('' The Twilight Samurai'', '' The Hidden Blade'' and '' Love and Honor''). Biography He was born in Osaka, but due to his father's job as an engineer for the South Manchuria Railway, he was brought up in Dalian, China. from the age of two. Masato Harada
is a Japanese film director, film critic, and sometimes an actor; he is best known to foreign audiences as Omura in ''The Last Samurai'' and as Mr Mita in ''Fearless''.
