Camelon Juniors F.C.
Camelon Juniors Football Club are a Scottish football club based in Camelon, in the Falkirk district. The team plays in the , having moved from the junior leagues in 2018. Despite this move, the club has decided to retain the "Juniors" part of its identity. The club have won the Scottish Junior Cup once, in 1995. History A previous Camelon side had existed in the Junior grade from 1906 to 1910, however the current club were formed in 1920. This Camelon Juniors side initially competed in Stirlingshire competitions but became the easternmost side to join the breakaway Scottish Intermediate League in 1927, ironically joining the West Division of the new set-up. The club resigned from the Intermediates halfway through the 1929–30 season and joined the Scottish Junior League which at the time, contained fellow Stirlingshire sides Dunipace and Kilsyth Rangers. Max Murray (7 November 1935 – 5 September 2016) was a Scottish footballer. Career Murray began his career at Queen's Park, before moving to Ibrox in 1955. His scoring debut came on 13 August 1955 in a Scottish League Cup match against Falkirk which the club won 5–0. He had a very successful spell at Rangers, winning two Scottish league championships and finishing top scorer three times in a row. Archibald Renwick Macaulay (30 July 1915 – 10 June 1993) was a Scottish football player and manager. Playing career Born in Falkirk, Macaulay started his playing career in junior football and joined Rangers in 1933, where he became a regular at the age of only 18. Playing as an inside right, he won a Scottish Cup medal in 1935–36 and a Scottish League Championship medal the year after. In 1937 he was transferred to West Ham United for £6,000; the Second World War interrupted his career somewhat but he still won a Wartime Cup medal in 1940 and played five unofficial wartime matches for Scotland. Macaulay was signed by Brentford in October 1946, and made his official Scotland debut against England at Wembley Stadium on 12 April 1947. Jerry Dawson (footballer, Born 1909)
James "Jerry" Dawson (30 October 1909 – 19 January 1977) was a Scottish footballer who played as a goalkeeper and spent most of his career with Rangers. Career Born in Falkirk, Dawson's position as a goalkeeper saw him nicknamed 'Jerry' after the famous English custodian with whom he shared a surname. He began his career playing with local Junior side Camelon, before turning professional with Rangers in November 1929. He spent the next 16 years with the Ibrox side, winning the Scottish league five times and the Scottish Cup twice. He made 236 league appearances for Rangers and was capped 14 times by Scotland between 1934 and 1939. He also appeared 11 times for the Scottish Football League XI.
