Camarines Norte Provincial Board
The Camarines Norte Provincial Board is the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (provincial legislature) of the Philippine province of Camarines Norte. The members are elected via plurality-at-large voting: the province is divided into four districts, the first and fourth districts sending three members to the provincial board, while the second and third send two members; the number of candidates the electorate votes for and the number of winning candidates depends on the number of members their district sends. The vice governor is the ''ex officio'' presiding officer, and only votes to break ties. The vice governor is elected via the plurality voting system province-wide. The Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas (League of Barangays in the Philippines) and the Asosasyon ng mga Kapitan ng Barangay (Association of Barangay Captains) or ABC are formal organizations of all the barangays in the Philippines. The Kabalikat ng Malayang Pilipino (KAMPI), formerly known as the Kabalikat ng Mamamayang Pilipino, was a political party in the Philippines. It is the main party of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. In June 2008, Kampi merged into the Lakas–CMD. History KAMPI was formed during the run up to the 1998 presidential elections as the vehicle for then Senator Arroyo's presidential campaign, after she defected from the Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino, the party she had been with since she was first elected in 1995. The United Opposition was a political party in the Philippines. It called itself the "Genuine Opposition" coalition throughout the duration of the 2007 midterm elections. The Koalisyon ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino (KNP) (''Coalition of United Filipinos''), also known as the United Opposition, was the political multi-party electoral alliance of the dominant opposition in the Philippines during the 2004 general elections. Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats (), abbreviated as Lakas–CMD and popularly known as Lakas, was a political party in the Philippines. Its ideology and that of its successor is heavily influenced by Christian and Islamic democracy. The party's influence on Philippine society is very strong, especially after the People Power Revolution, which has led the country to elect two presidents from the party, namely Fidel V. Edgardo "Egay" Tallado (born July 9, 1963) is a Filipino politician from the province of Camarines Norte in the Philippines. He previously served as a Governor of Camarines Norte from 2010 to 2022. He ran for governor in 2007 and lost, but the result was overturned in his favor in 2010 via an election recount. He was elected as governor in May of that same year and was re-elected in 2013 as his second term, third term in 2016 and last term in 2019. 2018 Philippine Barangay And Sangguniang Kabataan Elections
Barangay elections in the Philippines were held on May 14, 2018. The election shall elect the '' Punong Barangay'', more commonly known as barangay captains, and members of the ''Sangguniang Barangay'', or barangay council, in 41,948 barangays (villages) throughout the country whose terms start on June 30, 2018. Barangays are the smallest local government unit in the Philippines. Elections for the reformed Sangguniang Kabataan (SK; youth councils) will also be held at the same time. This shall be the first SK elections since 2010. Originally scheduled for October 2016, these elections supposedly concluded the 2016 election cycle that started in May with the election of the Philippine president, the members of Philippine Congress and provincial, city and municipal officials.
