Calsher Dear
Calsher Dear (born 4 August 2005) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for in the Australian Football League (AFL). Dear attended St Bede's College which competes in the ACC. Early career The youngest of three brothers, Calsher played with the Beaumaris Football Club as a junior. By his own admission it took time to adjust to the tempo with the Sandringham Dragons. He was one of the best players for the Dragons' throughout the 2023 finals series, with his Grand Final performance in particular eye-catching. AFL career He was the fifty sixth selection in the 2023 AFL draft by . He made his debut against at the Marvel Stadium in round 8 of the 2024 AFL season. The McClelland Trophy is an Australian rules football club championship trophy, awarded each year to the club with the best aggregate performance across the Australian Football League (AFL) and AFL Women's (AFLW) seasons. The trophy was inaugurated in 1951. From 1951 to 1990, it was a club championship award presented to the club with the highest aggregate performance across the three grades of competition that were sanctioned by the VFL/AFL – seniors, reserves, and under-19s – with senior wins carrying a higher value.
