California Conference is one of the three conferences of the CIF Northern Section, a high school athletics governing body part of the California Interscholastic Federation. CIF Northern Section (NS) is a governing body of public and private high school athletics in California. Member schools are located in the inland northeastern portion of the state roughly encompassed by the Interstate 5 in California, I-5 corridor to the bottom of the Sacramento Valley. It is one of ten sections that compose the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). Northern Section comprises three conferences National Conference, American Conference, and California Conference. These conferences in turn comprise three leagues. Tulelake ( ) is a city in northeastern Siskiyou County, California, United States. The town is named after nearby Tule Lake. Its population is 902 as of the 2020 census, down from 1,010 from the 2010 census. Tulelake peace officers are authorized by state law, along with cooperation of the state of Oregon, to serve as and be recognized as peace officers within Malin, Oregon, along with the inverse being true for peace officers employed within Malin, wherein they are recognized as peace officers within Tulelake by the California Penal Code. Loyalton is the only incorporated city in Sierra County, California, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 740, reflecting a decline of 29 from the 769 counted in 2010.
