Calgary Villains Football Club is a Canadian soccer team based in Calgary, Alberta that plays in the men's and women's divisions of League1 Alberta. History Calgary Villains FC was established as a youth soccer club in 1981. In September 2020, they were awarded a National Youth License by the Canadian Soccer Association. League1 Alberta (L1AB) is a semi-professional men's and women's soccer league in Alberta, Canada. The league is sanctioned by the Canadian Soccer Association and the Alberta Soccer Association as a third division pro–am league in the Canadian soccer league system. In the Canadian soccer league system, the men's division is behind the Canadian Premier League (CPL).
