Calgary-Cross is a current provincial electoral district in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Created in 1993, the district is one of 87 districts mandated to return a single member (MLA) to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post method of voting. The district was created in the 1993 boundary redistribution from Calgary-McCall and Calgary-Montrose, and present boundaries covers the neighbourhoods of Pineridge, Rundle, Marlborough, Marlborough Park and Monterey Park in northeast Calgary. History The electoral district was created in the 1993 boundary re-distribution from the electoral districts of Calgary-McCall and Calgary-Montrose. The district is named after Alfred Ernest Cross (a member of Calgary's Big Four) who entered politics in 1898, and was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for East Calgary prior to the formation of Alberta. Calgary East is a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1917 to 1953, 1979 to 1988, 1997 to 2015, and since 2025. It was a lower income urban riding in Calgary, with a sizable visible minority population. Following the 2022 Canadian federal electoral redistribution, this riding was restored upon the call of the 2025 Canadian federal election. It will be created out of Calgary Forest Lawn south of 16 Ave NE plus part of Vista Heights, and part of Calgary Shepard north of a line following 130 Ave SE to 52 St SE to Glenmore Trail. Calgary-Mountain View is a provincial electoral district in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post method of voting. The district was created in 1971 and is currently represented by Kathleen Ganley of the Alberta New Democratic Party. History The electoral district was created in the 1971 boundary redistribution from parts of Calgary North and Calgary East. Following the 2004 Alberta boundary re-distribution Calgary-Mountain View had a population of 39,586, which was 10.1 per cent above the provincial average of 35,951, which was the highest deviation for an electoral district in Calgary or Edmonton. The 2010 Alberta boundary re-distribution all land west of Shaganappi Trail was redistricted into Calgary-Varsity. Calgary-Klein is a provincial electoral district in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The district was created in the 2010 boundary redistribution and is mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post voting system. The riding is named after former premier Ralph Klein. History The electoral district was created in the 2010 Alberta boundary re-distribution. It was created mainly from Calgary-North Hill and a portion of Calgary-Nose Hill.
