Caleb Dean
Caleb Dean (born June 20, 2001) is an American track and field athlete who competes as a hurdler. In 2024, he won the 60-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships and the 400-meter hurdles at the Outdoor Championships. Early life Dean is from Hyattsville, Maryland, where he attended DeMatha Catholic High School. Collegiate career Dean started his collegiate career at the University of Maryland. He was a two-time Big Ten Champion as well as a two-time Big Ten runner-up. After his junior year, he transferred to Texas Tech University. In his two years as a Red Raider, he accumulated four Big 12 championships and three Big 12 runner-up finishes. Dean won the 60 meter hurdles at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March 2024 in Boston, Massachusetts. Texas Tech won the team title that same year. 2024 United States Olympic Trials (track And Field)
The 2024 United States Olympic trials for track and field were held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. Organized by USA Track and Field, the ten-day competition lasted from June 21 to 30 and served as the national championships in track and field for the United States. 44 events were held, 22 for men and 22 for women. The marathon trials were held on February 3, 2024, in Orlando, Florida. The TRACK At New Balance
The TRACK at New Balance is a 455,000 square foot facility housing a track and field stadium located near Boston Landing station in Boston, Massachusetts. Construction began in April 2019 and the facility opened in 2022. The facility was designed by architecture firm Elkus Manfredi and was a finalist for the 2023 World Architecture News Awards in the leisure category. The facility includes a 200 meter hydraulically-banked track and allows space for 5,000 spectators. There's also 24,000 square feet dedicated athletes warming-up, a separate live music entertainment venue for up to 3,500 people, and a 20,000 square foot sports research lab. The track can also be converted to space for basketball and volleyball courts as well as turf fields. Hayward Field is a track and field stadium in the Northwestern United States, located on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. It has been the home of the university's track and field teams since 1921, and was the on-campus home of the varsity football team from 1919 through 1966. Track and field competitions at the stadium are organized by the not-for-profit organization TrackTown USA.
