Caldwell Hall (Catholic University Of America)
Caldwell Hall is a male dormitory for 42 upper-class students and one of 10 housing options for students at the Catholic University of America. Cardinal James Gibbons, Archbishop of Baltimore, and President Grover Cleveland dedicated the building on May 24, 1888. It was named for Mary Gwendolin Caldwell. Sealed in the cornerstone is the original letter dated April 10, 1887 from Pope Leo XIII Pope Leo XIII (; born Gioacchino Vincenzo Raffaele Luigi Pecci; 2March 181020July 1903) was head of the Catholic Church from 20 February 1878 until his death in July 1903. He had the fourth-longest reign of any pope, behind those of Peter the Ap ... approving the University's founding. The building contains a chapel, paid for by Caldwell's sister, Mary Elizabeth, and a wing of the building known as "the House," which is inhabited by student ministers. Caldwell Hall (Pine Bluff, Arkansas)
Caldwell Hall occupies a central position on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. It is a large, T-shaped two-story brick building with Late Gothic Revival features, which was built in 1928 to a design by the noted Arkansas architectural firm Thompson, Sanders, & Ginocchio. Its central entrance section has Art Deco features in stone panels above the entrance, and fluted stone piers that rise to streamlined finials. Caldwell Hall (Georgia Tech)
The main campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology occupies part of Midtown Atlanta, primarily bordered by 10th Street to the north, North Avenue (Atlanta), North Avenue to the south, and, with the exception of Tech Square, the Downtown Connector to the East, placing it well in sight of the Atlanta#Cityscape, Atlanta skyline. In 1996, the campus was the site of the athletes' village and a venue for a number of athletic events for the 1996 Summer Olympics. The construction of the Olympic Village, along with subsequent gentrification of the surrounding areas, significantly changed the campus. The Georgia Tech campus is located in Midtown, an area north of downtown Atlanta.
