Fiona Caldicott
Dame Fiona Caldicott, ( Soesan; 12 January 1941 – 15 February 2021) was a British psychiatrist and psychotherapist who also served as Principal of Somerville College, Oxford She was the National Data Guardian for Health and Social Care in England until her death. Early life and education Caldicott was born on 12 January 1941 in Troon, daughter of barrister Joseph Maurice Soesan and civil servant Elizabeth Jane (née Ransley). Her paternal grandparents were greengrocers who were unenthusiastic about education; her father left school in his mid-teens, but subsequently completed a chemistry degree at night school and a law degree by correspondence. Caldicott was educated at City of London School for Girls, then studied medicine and physiology at St Hilda's College, Oxford, qualifying BM BCh in 1966. John Caldicott
Rev. John William Caldicott (9 February 1829 – 6 November 1895) was an Anglican priest and headmaster. Early life and education Caldicott was born in Edgbaston, Warwickshire, to John Caldicott, a hosier, and Anne Caldicott. He was educated at King Edward VI School, Birmingham before entering the University of Oxford, initially as a member of Pembroke College before transferring to Jesus College. He obtained a second-class degree in Literae Humaniores and a third-class degree in Mathematics in 1851. He was one of the examiners in classics in 1859 and 1860. Career He was appointed headmaster of Bristol Grammar School in 1860, and was rector and rural dean of Shipston-on-Stour with Tidmington. Helen Mary Caldicott (born 7 August 1938) is an Australian physician, author, and anti-nuclear advocate. She founded several associations dedicated to opposing the use of nuclear power, depleted uranium munitions, nuclear weapons, nuclear weapons proliferation, and military action in general. John Moore Caldicott
Sir John Moore Caldicott (12 February 1900 – 31 January 1986) was a Rhodesian government minister. Early life John Moore Caldicott was born in Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire, on 12 February 1900 the son of solicitor John Croydon Moore Caldicott and Lilian Caldicott. His paternal grandfather was John William Caldicott, the Rector and Dean of Shipston-on-Stour and the headmaster of Bristol Grammar School. Caldicott was education first at Malvern Preparatory School in Worcestershire and then at Shrewsbury School. After coming of age, Caldicott enlisted as a Private (Cadet) in the Royal Air Force on 22 April 1918 and undertook his training during the final months of the war, before being placed on the reserve on 11 March 1919.
