Calcio Foggia 1920, commonly referred to as Foggia, is an Football in Italy, Italian football club based in Foggia, Apulia. It currently plays in Serie C, having last been in the top level Serie A in 1995. It plays in Serie C, the third division of the Italian championship. The team experienced the best periods in its history in the 1960s and 1970s, in Serie A, and above all in the first half of the 1990s, playing four seasons in the top flight, coming close to qualifying for the UEFA Cup and gaining media exposure in European level for expressing an unprecedented, fast and attacking football. Roberto Rambaudi
Roberto Rambaudi (; born 12 January 1966) is an Italian professional football coach and a former player, who played as a forward or midfielder in the position of right winger. Club career Rambaudi gained Serie A promotion with Foggia after winning the 1990–91 Serie B title, forming a notable attacking trio with Giuseppe Signori and Francesco Baiano, helping the team to a ninth-place finish in Serie A during the 1991–92 season under manager Zdeněk Zeman. He later moved to Atalanta during summer 1992, where he remained for two seasons. After the club were relegated in 1994, he moved to Lazio, alongside his former manager Zeman, where he put on notable performances, and was called up to the Italy national team. Francesco Baiano
Francesco Baiano (; born 24 February 1968) is an Italian football coach and former player, currently in charge of Serie D club Poggibonsi. He played as a striker for several Italian clubs throughout his playing career, and he also played for Derby County in the Premier League, between 1997 and 1999. Giuseppe Signori
Giuseppe "Beppe" Signori (; born 17 February 1968) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a forward. He played for several clubs in Italy throughout his career, and also had spells in Greece and Hungary with Iraklis Thessaloniki and MFC Sopron respectively. Signori won the Serie A top-scorer award three times and is one of the top ten scorers in Serie A history. At international level, Signori represented Italy 28 times between 1992 and 1995, scoring 7 goals, and took part at the 1994 World Cup, where they reached the final. Zdeněk Zeman
Zdeněk Zeman (; born 12 May 1947) is a Czech-Italian football manager. Known for his exciting, offensive footballing tactics and use of the 4–3–3 formation, Zeman has managed numerous teams over the years, mostly in Italian football. He has won the Serie B title twice, with Foggia and with Pescara. Career Early years Zeman's football coaching career started in Sicily, where he resided since the late 1960s. Serie C1
Serie C1 was the third highest football league in Italy. It consisted of 36 teams, divided geographically into two divisions. History Before the 1978–79 season, there were only three professional football leagues in Italy, the third being Serie C. The league menaging the C was also organizing the semi-professional Serie D. In 1978, it was decided to split the Serie C into Serie C1 (the third highest league) and Serie C2, moving the remnants of the Serie D to the amatorial sector as Campionato Interregionale. Upon its inception in 1978–79, Serie C1 consisted of two groups of 18 teams, with two promotions and four relegations.
