Călan (; ; ) is a town in Hunedoara County, Romania. Twelve villages are administered by the town: Batiz (''Batiz''), Călanu Mic (''Kiskalán''), Grid, Nădăștia de Jos (''Alsónádasd''), Nădăștia de Sus (''Felsőnádasd''), Ohaba Streiului (''Sztrigyohába''), Sâncrai (''Szentkirály''), Sântămăria de Piatră (''Kőboldogfalva''), Strei (''Zeikdorf''; ''Zeykfalva''), Strei-Săcel (''Sztrigyszacsal''), Streisângeorgiu (''Sztrigyszentgyörgy'') and Valea Sângeorgiului (''Szentgyörgyválya''). Alline Miranda Calandrini de Azevedo (born 8 March 1988), commonly known as Calan, is a Brazilian sports journalist and former football defender who played for the Brazil women's national team. She played for Santos, Centro Olímpico and Corinthians. Club career Calan began playing football at six years old. Her first professional club was Juventus, from where she progressed to Santos. Santos won the Copa Libertadores Femenina in 2009 and 2010, but in early 2012 Santos' board of directors scrapped the women's section, to save money after handing their male player Neymar a large new contract. Ten of the displaced players moved to Centro Olímpico, including Calan, who had to give up her house in Santos to move to a shared flat in São Paulo. Calan (meaning "Calend" (being the start of a month, or year) in Welsh language, Welsh) is a five-piece revivalist traditional Welsh band formed by their manager Huw Williams in early 2006 when its members were only 13 to 22 years old. In 2008, they created great excitement at the Inter Celtic Festival where they would eventually be the first Welsh band to win the coveted international band competition. Background The inspiration for the band's name dates back to their early days as street musicians when someone happened to photograph them in front of a sign for a construction company called "Calan," which is term that means the beginning of something new or a fresh start. Calan is considered a "M4 corridor band." Its members, who are from Cardiff, Swansea, and Cwmbran, met each other through the region's music scene. Verapamil
Verapamil, sold under various trade names, is a calcium channel blocker medication used for the treatment of high blood pressure, angina (chest pain from not enough blood flow to the heart), and supraventricular tachycardia. It may also be used for the prevention of migraines and cluster headaches. It is given by mouth or by injection into a vein. Common side effects include headache, low blood pressure, nausea, and constipation. Other side effects include allergic reactions and muscle pains. It is not recommended in people with a slow heart rate or heart failure. It is believed to cause problems for the fetus if used during pregnancy.
