Cajetan Francis Pinto (born Caetano Francisco Pinto; 29 January 1941 – 5 November 2017), known mononymously as Caiti, was an Indian make-up artist who worked on the Konkani stage. Early life Caetano Francisco Pinto was born on 29 January 1941 in the island of Vanxim, Goa in a Goan Catholic family. Vanxim was part of Portuguese India during the time of the Portuguese Empire. Pinto's father, Manoel Vicente Pinto, hailed from the island of Chorão and served as an employee of a company. His mother, Maria Angelina de Souza, originated from Aldonã and fulfilled the role of a homemaker. As the third child in a family of four siblings, Pinto grew up alongside his elder brothers Ricardo (born in 1936 in Bombay) and Luis (born in 1934). An additional sibling, who remains unnamed, was born in 1939. Kala Academy
Kala Academy (Academy of the Arts) is a prominent cultural centre run by the Government of Goa, in Goa, India. Situated at Campal, Panjim, it is registered as a society, and was started in February 1970. The building was designed by Charles Correa. It plays the role of being an "apex body to develop music, dance, drama, fine art, folk art, literature, etc. and thereby promote (the) cultural unity of Goa." Funded by the Government of Goa, the centre offers training through its faculty, and also organises festivals, competitions, exhibitions, workshops, seminars, and other programmes related to various forms of the local arts. It has a General Council of 28 members, a 14-member Executive Board, and advisory committees for various sections. Rosario Alfred Fernandes (5 August 1932 − 21 October 2003), known professionally as Alfred Rose, was an Indian Konkani singer, composer, and actor.
