Caffrey
McCaffrey, sometimes spelled Caffrey or McCaffery, is an Irish surname. It is found mostly in the Counties Fermanagh, Monaghan, Cavan and Tyrone in the north west of Ireland. Ballymccaffrey is a townland outside Tempo in county Fermanagh. The surname is an Anglicised form of the Gaelic names ''Mac Gafraidh'', ''Mac Gofraidh'', which mean "son of ''Gafraidh''", "son of ''Gofraidh''". Christian McCaffrey
Christian Jackson McCaffrey (born June 7, 1996) is an American professional American football, football running back for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Stanford Cardinal football, Stanford Cardinal and was selected by the Carolina Panthers eighth overall in the 2017 NFL draft. As a sophomore in 2015, McCaffrey was named AP College Football Player of the Year and was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy. He holds the NCAA record for most all-purpose yards in a season (3,864). Barry Richard McCaffrey (born 17 November 1942) is a retired United States Army general and current news commentator, professor and business consultant who served in President Bill Clinton's Cabinet as the Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy. He received three Purple Heart medals for injuries sustained during his service in the Vietnam War, two Silver Stars, and two Distinguished Service Crosses—the second-highest United States Army award for valor. He was inducted into United States Army Ranger Hall of Fame at the United States Army Infantry Center at Fort Benning in 2007. Anne Inez McCaffrey (1 April 1926 – 21 November 2011) was an American writer known for the ''Dragonriders of Pern'' science fiction series. She was the first woman to win a Hugo Award for fiction (Best Novella, ''Weyr Search'', 1968) and the first to win a Nebula Award (Best Novella, ''Dragonrider'', 1969). Billy McCaffrey (born May 30, 1971) is an American former basketball player. He is also the former interim head coach at St. Bonaventure University. Stuart McCaffrey
Stuart McCaffrey (born 30 May 1979) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a defender. Playing career McCaffrey began his career as a trainee with Hibernian, before signing for Aberdeen in July 1998. Failing to break into the Aberdeen first team, he signed on loan for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in September 2000. This was followed by a permanent contract.
