Penderry ( cy, Penderi) is the name of an Ward (politics), electoral ward and a Community council, community in the City and County of Swansea, Wales, United Kingdom, UK. Penderry does not have a community council. Penderry is bordered by the wards of Mynydd-Bach (electoral ward), Mynydd-Bach to the east; Cockett (electoral ward), Cockett and Cwmbwrla (electoral ward), Cwmbwrla to the south; and Kingsbridge (electoral ward), Kingsbridge, Penllergaer (electoral ward), Penllergaer and Llangyfelach (electoral ward), Llangyfelach to the north. For the purposes of local council elections, the ward is divided up into a number of polling districts, which are: Blaen-y-Maes, Caereithin, Mynydd Cadle, Penlan West, Penlan East and Clwyd. Kingsbridge ( cy, Pontybrenin) was an electoral ward in the City and County of Swansea, Wales. It was part of the Llwchwr Town council area. The Kingsbridge ward was bordered by the wards of Gowerton, Cockett and Penderry to the south; Gorseinon and Penllergaer to the north and Upper Loughor to the west. Penlan is a suburban area of Swansea, Wales in the Penderry ward. The area is set on top of a hill, which overlooks Townhill, Kilvey Hill and Swansea Bay.
