Caden Dana
Caden Lawrence Dana (born December 17, 2003) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB). The Angels selected him in the 11th round of the 2022 MLB draft. Amateur career Dana attended Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, New Jersey. In early 2020, Dana committed to play college baseball for the Kentucky Wildcats. He was the New Jersey Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year his senior year in 2022. Professional career Minor leagues Dana was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the 11th round of the 2022 Major League Baseball Draft. Dana forewent his commitment to play for the Kentucky Wildcats and signed with the Angels for $1,497,500, a record-high signing bonus for an 11th-round pick. Rocket City Trash Pandas
The Rocket City Trash Pandas are a Minor League Baseball team of the Southern League and the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. They are located in Madison, Alabama, and play their home games at Toyota Field. History In November 2017, BallCorps LLC purchased the Southern League's Mobile BayBears from owners Michael Savit and HWS Group for the purpose of relocating the team to Madison, Alabama, in 2020. Upon relocation, the team was renamed the Rocket City Trash Pandas. The name is a reference to both the area's association with the space industry, namely from Huntsville, and the determination and ingenuity of raccoons (which are native to the Huntsville area; "trash panda" is a slang nickname for the animal due to their facial resemblance to the panda and their tendency to dig through trash). The Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino are a Minor League Baseball team of the California League and the Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. The 66ers are based in San Bernardino, California, and play at San Manuel Stadium. Franchise history The 66ers began when the Salinas Spurs moved to San Bernardino and bought the name of the San Bernardino Spirit from the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes who had just left town. The team was bought by Elmore Sports Group soon afterwards.
