The Cabinet of Mohamed Waheed Hassan, Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik was the most senior level of the executive branch of the Government of the Maldives from 2012 to 2013. Mohamed Waheed Hassan, Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik was appointed President of the Maldives after the resignation of Mohamed Nasheed during the 2011–2013 Maldives political crisis. Overview President Waheed's cabinet comprised up to 15 cabinet ministers, including the Attorney General (Maldives), attorney general. The positions were handed out to different members representing different parties of Waheed's coalition. During his presidency, Waheed had changed the names of two ministries, the Ministry of Housing and Environment to the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure, and the Ministry of Health and Family to the Ministry of Health. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik (; born 3 January 1953) is a Maldivian politician who served as president of the Maldives from 7 February 2012 to 17 November 2013, having succeeded to the office following the resignation of President Mohamed Nasheed, under whom he served as Vice President. He had previously worked as a news anchor, a teacher, a principle, a United Nations international civil servant with UNICEF, UNDP and UNESCO, and as a member of the Maldivian Parliament. He assumed the office of president on 7 February 2012, following the resignation of the incumbent, Mohamed Nasheed. Initially, Nasheed claimed that a coup d'état had occurred, however these claims were proved to be false by an independent report from the Commission of National Inquiry.
