Javier Marín (b. 1962) is a contemporary Mexican sculptor known for his large-scale sculptures focusing on the human form. He has exhibited extensively for the last 30 years, and his work can be found in major metropolitan museums. In 2013, he started the Javier Marin Foundation to support emerging artists. Zapopan
Zapopan () is a city and municipality located in the Mexican state of Jalisco. Part of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, Zapopan is the largest city in the state. It's best known as the home of the Virgin of Zapopan, an image of the Virgin Mary made in the 16th century.
