Ca Mau Airport
Cà Mau Airport () is a small airport in Cà Mau province, the most southern part of Vietnam. The airport is currently served by Vietnam Aviation Service Company (VASCO) with flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Tan Son Nhat International Airport, SGN). History Initially built by the French Indochina, French colonists as ''Moranc Airfield'' at Quản Long town, An Xuyên province (now Cà Mau City) with the runway of 400 m long and 16 m wide. June 1962, Bureau of Aviation of the Republic of Vietnam rebuilt this airfield in an area of 91.61 hectares, the runway of 1050m x 30m, the apron 60m x 120 m and renamed it ''Quan Long Airport'' (''Phi trường Quản Long''). This airport was used mainly for military purpose, serving helicopters, L19, OV10, Dakota, C130 and some other kind of fighters. Cà Mau
Cà Mau () is a city in southern Vietnam. It is the capital of Cà Mau province, a province in the Mekong Delta region, in the southernmost part of Vietnam's inland territory (mainland). The city is characterised by its system of transport canals, and most goods are transported there by boats and barges. Tan Son Nhat International Airport is an international airport serving Ho Chi Minh City, the most populous city in Vietnam. The airport is located in the Tân Bình district within the Ho Chi Minh City metropolitan area. It is the busiest airport in Vietnam, with 32.5 million passengers in 2016, 38.5 million passengers in 2018, and about 41 million passengers in 2023. As of December 2023, it is the 50th-busiest airport in the world, and the fourth-busiest in Southeast Asia. As of April 2025, it has a total capacity of approximately 50 million passengers following the opening of Terminal 3. ATR-72
The ATR 72 is a twin-engine turboprop, short-haul regional airliner developed and produced in France and Italy by aircraft manufacturer ATR. The number "72" in its name is derived from the aircraft's typical standard seating capacity of 72 passengers. The ATR 72 has also been used as a corporate transport, cargo aircraft, and maritime patrol aircraft. To date, all of the ATR series have been completed at the company's final assembly line in Toulouse, France; ATR benefits from sharing resources and technology with Airbus SE, which has continued to hold a 50% interest in the company. The Vietnam Air Services Company (), operating as its acronym VASCO, is an airline headquartered in Tân Bình district, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. A fully owned subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines, it mainly operates regional scheduled flights on behalf of Vietnam Airlines. It also conducts charter flights, medical evacuations, SAR operations, oil platforms flights, and other aviation services. VASCO was established by government directive in 1987, and was originally a part of Vietnam Airlines, the national carrier. It began scheduled passenger flights independently of Vietnam Airlines in 2004, and approval has been given for it to be partially privatized. The Airbus A320 family is a series of narrow-body airliners developed and produced by Airbus.
