Buhl CA-1 Airster
The Buhl CA-1 Airster was a sports airplane developed in the United States in 1930. It was a conventional low-wing cantilever monoplane with fixed tailwheel undercarriage and an open cockpit for the pilot. History In 1930 the Buhl Aircraft Company built two light multipurpose Airster aircraft, which were free-floating low-flying airplanes. They differed in power plant and cockpit, with the single-seat CA-1 using a 300 hp Wright J-6 engine, and the two-seat CA-1WA using a 420 hp Pratt & Whitney Wasp engine. The two-seat variant was developed with a second open cockpit in tandem with the pilot's and with a Townend ring and wheel spats, but this didn't sell either. Caproni, also known as ''Società de Agostini e Caproni'' and ''Società Caproni e Comitti'', was an Italian aircraft manufacturer. Its main base of operations was at Taliedo, near Linate Airport, on the outskirts of Milan. Founded by Giovanni Battista Caproni, Giovanni Battista "Gianni" Caproni during 1908, the company produced several successful heavy bombers during the World War I, First World War. Following the acquisition of several other aviation firms throughout the interwar period, Caproni transformed into a sizable aviation-orientated syndicate, the ''Società Italiana Caproni, Milano''. Schneider CA1
The Schneider CA 1 (originally named the Schneider CA) was the first French Third Republic, French tank, developed during the First World War. The Schneider was inspired by the need to overcome the stalemate of trench warfare which on the Western Front prevailed during most of the Great War. It was designed specifically to open passages for the infantry through barbed wire and then to suppress German machine gun nests. After a first concept by Jacques Quellennec devised in November 1914, the type was developed from May 1915 onwards by engineer Eugène Brillié, paralleling British development of tanks the same year. Carbonic anhydrase 1 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the ''CA1'' gene. Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. They participate in a variety of biological processes, including cellular respiration, calcification, acid-base balance, bone resorption, and the formation of aqueous humor, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, and gastric acid. They show extensive diversity in tissue distribution and in their subcellular localization. CA1 is closely linked to CA2 and CA3 genes on chromosome 8, and it encodes a cytosolic protein which is found at the highest level in erythrocytes. Hippocampal Subfield
The hippocampal subfields are four subfields CA1, CA2, CA3, and CA4 that make up the structure of the hippocampus. Regions described in the hippocampus are the head, body, and tail, and other hippocampal subfields include the dentate gyrus, the presubiculum, and the subiculum. The CA subfields use the initials of cornu ammonis, an earlier name of the hippocampus. Structure There are four hippocampal subfields, in the hippocampus proper which form a neural circuit called the trisynaptic circuit. CA1 CA1 is the first region in the hippocampal circuit, from which a significant output pathway goes to layer V of the entorhinal cortex. The main output of CA1 is to the subiculum.
