C-terminal Telopeptide
The C-terminal telopeptide (CTX), also known as carboxy-terminal collagen crosslinks, is the C-terminal wikt:telopeptide, telopeptide of fibrillar collagens such as collagen type I and Type II collagen, type II. It is used as a biomarker (medicine), biomarker in the serum (blood), serum to measure the rate of bone remodeling, bone turnover. It can be useful in assisting clinicians to determine a patient's nonsurgical treatment response as well as evaluate a patient's risk of developing complications during healing following surgical intervention. Caltex is a petroleum brand name of Chevron Corporation used in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, and Southern Africa. A levitated dipole is a type of nuclear fusion reactor design using a superconducting torus that is magnetically levitated inside the reactor chamber. The name refers to the magnetic dipole that forms within the reaction chamber, similar to Earth's magnetosphere. CTX (computer Virus)
CTX is a computer virus created in Spain in 1999. CTX was initially discovered as part of the Cholera worm, with which the author intentionally infected with CTX. Although the Cholera worm had the capability to send itself via email, the CTX worm quickly surpassed it in prevalence. Cholera is now considered obsolete, while CTX remains in the field, albeit with only rare discoveries. In March 2006, CTX was in the news again due to a false positive in the McAfee '' VirusScan'' program that caused CTX detections in a range of innocuous files. Ceftriaxone
Ceftriaxone, sold under the brand name Rocephin, is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used for the treatment of a number of bacterial infections. These include middle ear infections, endocarditis, meningitis, pneumonia, bone and joint infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin infections, urinary tract infections, gonorrhea, and pelvic inflammatory disease. It is also sometimes used before surgery and following a bite wound to try to prevent infection. Ceftriaxone can be given by injection into a vein or into a muscle.
