CS Portul Constanța
Club Sportiv Portul Constanța, commonly known as Portul Constanța, or simply as Portul, is a Romanian football (soccer), football football team, club based in Constanța, Constanța County and currently playing in the Liga IV Constanța, Liga IV – Constanța County, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. History Portul Constanța was established in 1930 under the name of SPM Constanța (Serviciul Porturi Maritime - Service Ports Maritime) then, in the first post-war years (1945–1949), it was called PCA Constanța (Porturi Comunicații Ape - Ports Communications Water). In the 1946–47 season, PCA won the Series IV of Liga III, Divizia C, promoting for the first time in its history to Divizia B, Second Division. In 1949, PCA merged with another local club, Dezrobirea, to form Farul Constanța, Locomotiva PCA, which promoted to the Liga I, First Division in 1954 and which from 1958 was renamed as Farul Constanța. Stadionul Portul
Stadionul Portul is a multi-purpose stadium in Constanța, Romania, situated inside the Port of Constanța. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home ground of CS Portul Constanța, Portul Constanța, team of the Port and has a capacity of 10,000 people on terraces. The stadium was opened during the 1970s, replacing the old 8th May Stadium, legendary stadium of Constanța, opened in 1948. Between 2020 and 2023, the stadium was closed for sports competitions and was used as a Modular Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was re-opened in 2023 and needed some renovation works. Mugurel Cornățeanu
Mugurel Florin Cornățeanu (born 21 February 1972) is a Romanian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder, currently sporting director at Liga I club Politehnica Iași. Club career In his career Cornățeanu played in Divizia A for teams such as: Farul Constanța and Steaua București and in Divizia B for Callatis Mangalia, Portul Constanța and Laminorul Roman. Iosif Bükössy
Iosif Bükössy (12 August 1936 – 30 October 2006) was a Romanian footballer who played as a Forward (association football), forward. Playing career Iosif Bükössy was born on 12 August 1936 in Mediaș, Romania and he started to play football in 1948 at local club, Sparta. In 1954 he moved to neighboring club, CS Gaz Metan Mediaș, Flacăra where he spent two seasons playing in Liga II, Divizia B. Then after another short Divizia B spell at Progresul CPCS București, Bükössy went to play for FC Steaua București, CCA București where he made his Liga I, Divizia A debut under coach Ștefan Dobay on 27 May 1956 in a 3–1 away loss in front of Club Atletic Oradea, Progresul Oradea, gaining a total of three appearances in his first season spent at the club, helping it win the title.
