Club Sportiv Municipal Focșani, also known as CSM Focșani, or simply Focșani, is a Romanian football team based in Focșani, Vrancea County, which competes in the Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football. The team represents the men's football section of the multi-sport club CSM Focșani, which also include men's basketball, men's handball, athletics, volleyball, martial arts, judo, chess, tennis, table tennis, shooting sports and taekwondo sections. The team was founded in 1953 as Spartac Focșani and, over its history, adopted various names such as Progresul, Rapid, Fructexport, Acord, Diplomatic, and — most popular among Romanian football fans — Unirea. The Milcovul Stadium, also known as Milcovul Sud Stadium, is a multi-use stadium in Focşani, Romania. The 1958–59 Divizia B was the 19th season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format with two series has been maintained, both of them having 14 teams. The 1957–58 Divizia B was the 18th season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format with two series has been maintained, both of them having 14 teams. At the end of the season the winners of the series promoted to Divizia A, the last two places from each series relegated to Divizia C. Divizia B
The Liga 2, most commonly spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 football season. It is currently sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company under the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Since its inception in 1934, Liga II has had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. But since the 2016-17 Liga II, it changed to one group of 20 teams. Currently, the top six teams goes in the promotion play-off, in which the top 2 teams get promoted and the next 2 play a promotion play-off against teams from Liga I. Kostas Choumis
Kostas Choumis (, , born 20 November 1913 in Piraeus, Greece – deceased 20 July 1981 in Athens) was a Greek-Romanian football player who played as a striker. He is often regarded in Greece and Romania as one of the greatest strikers from the 1930s. Club career Choumis was born on 20 November 1913 in Piraeus, Greece, starting to play junior level football in 1929 at local club, Ethnikos. In 1933 he made his senior debut for Ethnikos. He won the South Division championship with Ethnikos in the 1934–1935 season, scoring 15 goals in 10 matches.
