Central Scientific Instruments Organisation is a Chandigarh, India-based national laboratory dedicated to research, design and development of scientific, and industrial instruments. It is one of the constituent laboratories of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), an Indian industrial research and development organisation situated at Chandigarh's Sector 30-C. Overview CSIO was established in October 1959 as a laboratory that works on the research, design, and development of scientific and industrial instruments. It was located in New Delhi, and then moved to Chandigarh in 1962. The first Director was Piara Singh Gill. CSIO campus (spread over an area of approximately 120 acres) comprises office buildings, R&D laboratories, Indo-Swiss Training Centre and a housing complex. CSIO, the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations, is the Canadian property and casualty insurance industry's nonprofit association of insurers, brokers and software providers. Much of its work is in the development of data standards, especially XML and Electronic data interchange, EDI, for the transmission of insurance information throughout the Canadian P&C insurance industry. CSIO also promotes the adoption of various technologies within the industry, such as telematics and electronic signature, that promise to enhance efficiencies in the broker distribution channel. For example, as part of its XML standards, CSIO released a telematics data standard in January 2014 to facilitate the process of transferring driving data from an insurance customer's vehicle to an insurance company. ''City State of the Invincible Overlord'' is a fantasy role-playing game supplement originally published by Judges Guild in 1976. It was the first published fantasy role-playing game city setting, designed for use with ''Dungeons & Dragons'' (''D&D''), and officially approved for use with ''D&D'' from 1976 through 1983. It was later republished under license by Necromancer Games. Development and release Bob Bledsaw and Bill Owen founded Judges Guild in 1976 to sell subscriptions to gamemasters, and began work on a large map inspired by Bledsaw's own ''Dungeons & Dragons'' campaign, as a product to make sales. They finished a city map just in time for Gen Con IX (1976). However, because they were not registered vendors, they sat at a card table decorated with a banner but were not allowed to have any maps with them. Judges Guild is a game publisher that has been active since 1976. The company created and sold many role-playing game supplements, periodicals and related materials. During the late 1970s and early 1980s the company was one of the leading publishers of ''Dungeons & Dragons'' related materials. Its flagship product, ''City State of the Invincible Overlord'', was the first published RPG supplement to feature a fully developed city environment. The supplement was followed closely by numerous ancillary cities, maps, and other materials published by Judges Guild.
