Vlad Goian (born 14 November 1970) is a football manager and former player who last time was manager of FC Zimbru Chișinău in 2022. Career Managerial Between 2011 and 2014, Vlad Goian worked as manager of FC Tiraspol, winning two times Moldovan Cup with his team. Moldovan Super Liga
The Moldovan Super Liga is an association football league that is currently the top division of Moldovan football league system. The competition was established in 1992, when the country became independent from the Soviet Union. It was formed in place of former Soviet republican competitions that existed since 1945. Before the Soviet occupation of Bessarabia and Northern Bukovina in 1940, clubs from modern Moldova competed in the Romanian football competitions, particularly Nistru Chișinău. There are currently eight teams in the competition. At the end of the season, the bottom club is relegated to the Moldovan Liga 1 and replaced by the lower league's champion. Sheriff Tiraspol—located in Transnistria—is the most successful league club with 20 titles, and is followed by Zimbru Chișinău with eight wins. Moldova ( , ; ), officially the Republic of Moldova ( ro, Republica Moldova), is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe. After gaining its independence from the USSR in 1992, Moldova became a member of FIFA in 1994. Football is the most popular sport in Moldova. In qualification for Euro 2004, Moldova beat Austria 1-0 and Belarus 2–1, but lost to the Netherlands 1–2. In qualification for the World Cup in 2006, the best results were winning against Belarus 2-0 and two home draws against Scotland and Norway.
