CSA Provincial T20 Challenge
The CSA Provincial T20 is a Twenty20 Cricket competition in South Africa, first contested in the 2011–12 season. It was previously known as the CSA Provincial T20 until the season, the CSA Provincial T20 Challenge for the 2014-15 season and most recently as the competition was itself cancelled in favour of the CSA Provincial T20 Cup from 2019–20. The tournament has been contested since its inception by the 14 Domestic teams but for the In April 2019, Cricket South Africa announced that the 2019-20 tournament would be the final edition of the CSA Provincial T20 Challenge, due to austerity measures and a restructure of domestic cricket in the country. Centurion, Gauteng
Centurion (previously known as Verwoerdburg and before that Lyttelton) is an area with 236,580 inhabitants (2011 census) in the Gauteng Province of South Africa, between Pretoria and Midrand (Johannesburg). Eastern Province Cricket Team
Eastern Province cricket team was the former team that represented the Eastern Province in domestic first-class cricket in South Africa, alongside one-day matches. Eastern Province played first-class cricket from 1893–94 to 2004–05, when the team was merged with neighbouring team Border to form the entirely professional franchise the Warriors. From 2004–05 the former provincial teams, such as Eastern Province, were allocated two CSA Provincial Competitions that they could participate in: the CSA 3-Day Cup and the CSA One-Day Cup. Although given first-class status, these competitions were to be only semi-professional and no longer represented the top level of domestic cricket in South Africa. Buffalo Park
Buffalo Park is a cricket ground located in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa. It is one of the home grounds for the Warriors cricket team, and the principal home ground for Border. It can hold up to 20,000 spectators. Buffalo Park superseded the Jan Smuts Ground in East London as Border's main home ground in the 1987–88 season. Border is the team representing the Border region in domestic first-class cricket in South Africa. The team began playing in March 1898. When Cricket South Africa introduced the franchise system in 2004, Border merged with Eastern Province to form the Warriors. Boland Cricket Team
The Boland is a first-class cricket team that nominally represents the Boland region, in the South African province of Western Cape, in the CSA Provincial Competitions. The team is selected and supported by the Boland Cricket Board (BCB) and plays its home games at Boland Park in Paarl. Walvis Bay ( en, lit. Whale Bay; af, Walvisbaai; ger, Walfischbucht or Walfischbai) is a city in Namibia and the name of the bay on which it lies.
