CRSSD Festival
CRSSD Festival is an electronic dance music (EDM) festival held in San Diego, California, twice a year, in March and September. It is held at Waterfront Park in downtown San Diego. The festival is organized by the local event agency FNGRS CRSSD. History The two-day festival was first held in 2015 at the newly built Waterfront Park in San Diego. The park has lawns and large walk-in fountains. A mix of electronic and independent music is performed on three stages. There were 15,000 attendees per day at CRSSD Festival Spring 2024. CRSSD Festival is pronounced as “crossed festival”. Nina Elizabeth Agzarian (born 18 December 1984), known professionally by her stage name Nina Las Vegas, is an Australian radio host, DJ and music producer. From 2009 to 2014 she was the host of ''House Party'' on national radio station Triple J. Marea Renee Stamper (born October 22, 1977), better known by her stage name the Blessed Madonna (formerly the Black Madonna), is an American DJ, producer and musician. ''Mixmag'' named her the DJ of the year in 2016. She founded her own record label called We Still Believe. Musical career A high-school dropout who was bullied for her gender-nonconforming appearance, Stamper started her career in the late 1990s, selling mixtapes by underground DJs at raves. Stamper studied English at the University of Louisville and was the general manager for the college radio station. In 2013, she released her EP ''Lady of Sorrows''. Cut Copy (sometimes stylised as Cut/Copy) are an Australian synth-pop band formed in 2001 by Dan Whitford (vocals, keyboards and guitar). Originally a home-recording project, the band now includes Tim Hoey (guitars), Ben Browning (bass guitar), and Mitchell Scott (drums). Chromeo
Chromeo is a Canadian electro-funk duo from Montreal, formed in 2002 by musicians David "Dave 1" Macklovitch and Patrick "P-Thugg" Gemayel. Their sound draws from soul music, dance music, rock, synth-pop, disco and funk. As of 2024, the band has released six studio albums, with three of them hitting the ''Billboard'' 200 charts. Rüfüs Du Sol
Rüfüs Du Sol (stylised in all caps) is an Australian alternative dance group from Sydney, that consists of Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt. The band was known simply as Rüfüs (stylised in all caps) from their inception until January 2014, before changing their name to Rüfüs Du Sol – exclusively in the United States – to avoid confusion with existing funk band Rufus. Daley Padley, also known as Hot Since 82, is a British house music DJ and producer from South Yorkshire, England. He has been releasing music under the Hot Since 82 moniker since 2011. Personal life Originally from South Yorkshire, Padley entered the electronic music scene at a young age, beginning to frequent area nightclubs at the age of 14. His DJ education started at 17, playing 12–13-hour sets each Sunday at a club under his birth name. His residency soon became a top afterparty destination for clubbers in the area.
