CNEC Christian College
CNEC Christian College (Chinese language, Chinese: 中華傳道會安柱中學) is a subsidised EMI school, English Medium of Instruction school located in Kwai Chung, New Territories, Hong Kong. Founded in 1973, it is a Christian school. Campus The school, with a floor area 100,000 square feet (9,300 square metre), comprises three teaching blocks (namely Hoi Tak Complex, Hau Ching Complex and Tak Shing Hall) with lift tower installed, a new teaching purposed wing besides Hoi Tak Complex was also founded few years ago, a covered playground, two basketball courts with nine basketball nets, two volleyball courts, two memorial gardens and a six-lane running track. A gym room is renovated locating in the ground floor of the campus. The school renovated the outdoors sports ground during the academic year 2021. Kwai Chung
Kwai Chung is an urban area within Tsuen Wan New Town in the New Territories of Hong Kong. Together with Tsing Yi Island, it is part of the Kwai Tsing District District of Hong Kong. It is also part of Tsuen Wan New Town. In 2000, it had a population of 287,000. Its area is 9.93 km². Areas within Kwai Chung include: Kwai Fong, Kwai Hing, Lai King, Tai Wo Hau. Kwai Chung is the site of part of the container port of Hong Kong. Origin of the name In earlier times Kwai Chung was called Kwai Chung Tsai (). New Territories
The New Territories is one of the three main regions of Hong Kong, alongside Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula. It makes up 86.2% of Hong Kong's territory, and contains around half of the population of Hong Kong. Historically, it is the region described in the Convention for the Extension of Hong Kong Territory. Queen's College () is a sixth form college for boys with a secondary school and the first public secondary school founded in Hong Kong by the British colonial government. It was initially named The Government Central School () in 1862 and later renamed Victoria College () in 1890, and finally obtained the present name of Queen's College in 1894. Pope Paul VI College is a Hong Kong girls' Catholic secondary school in Shek Lei, Kwai Chung, New Territories. The English medium of instruction school was founded in 1969. History In 1967, Lorenzo Bianchi, then- Roman Catholic bishop of Hong Kong, invited the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate (PIME Sisters) to establish a girls' secondary school in the Tsuen Wan area, which the Hong Kong government was developing into a new town.
