CLG Gaeil Fhánada is a Gaelic football club in County Donegal, Ireland. History Gaeil Fhánada won the 2013 All-Ireland title in Waterford, the club's first title. Gaeil Fhánada won the 2022 All-Ireland title after extra-time against Mayo's Cill Chomáin (2–10 to 2–11) in Galway, the second time they won the competition. It was their most significant trophy at adult level for nearly a decade, having earlier contested the 2018 final against Downings and lost. Gaelic football (; short name '')'', commonly known as simply Gaelic, GAA, or football, is an Irish team sport. A form of football, it is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or palming the ball into the other team's Goal (sport), goal (3 points) or between two upright posts above the goal and over a crossbar above the ground (1 point). Players advance the ball up the field with a combination of carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing (dropping the ball and then toe-kicking the ball upward into the hands). Paddy Carr
Paddy Carr is a Gaelic football manager and former player. He played for, and later managed, the senior Donegal county team. While managing Kilmacud Crokes, Carr won the Leinster Senior Club Football Championship and the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. He managed numerous other clubs in Louth, Meath and Dublin. He also managed the Louth county team and the Meath minor team. Early life A secondary school principal, he is originally from Fanad in County Donegal, played for the Donegal county team and was later linked with the senior managerial post of his native county on several occasions. He worked in the slums of Latin America in the 1980s. As of 2023, he was living in Ardee. Kilmacud Crokes GAA
Kilmacud Crokes () is a large Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Stillorgan, Dublin, Ireland. Background Kilmacud GAA club was formed in 1959 following a public meeting in Saint Laurence's Hall, where Stillorgan shopping centre now stands. The first meeting of the club took place on 12 March 1959. Sixty people attended the meeting and donated a shilling each, meaning the club made Irish pound, IR£3.30 on the night. The club decided to use green-and-white jerseys, but they later decided to use the gold-and-purple colours, some say because of the local school Scoil Lorcain Naofa who also use gold and purple, others say it was because blue are the colours of the crocus. In 1963 the club purchased a -acre site behind the Ormonde Cinema as a permanent home pitch for themselves, Páirc de Burca, and in 1965 the adjoining Glenalbyn House was bought. Ballymun Kickhams (Irish language, Irish: ''Ciceam Bhaile Munna'' ) is a Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA club in Ballymun, Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Highland Radio is the local radio service for the County Donegal (North) franchise, operating under a licence from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI). Paddy McConigley is an Irish Gaelic footballer who played for Donegal county team and, before that, the London county team. He currently plays for The Railyard Football Club in Kilkenny, where he has won two Kilkenny Senior Football Championship titles, in 2015 and 2016. He is originally from Fanad. Playing career Club McConigley's club Gaeil Fhánada lost the 2006 Donegal Intermediate Football Championship final to Cloich Cheann Fhaola after two replays.
